The incident occurred on October 15 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Firefighters received a report of an incident on the A4, at kilometer 106 in the direction of Zgorzelec:
The tow hitch on a van probably broke off, causing the trailer carrying panes of glass to become detached. The detached trailer struck the crash barriers, and the transported glass scattered across the roadway, posing a danger to passing vehicles.
The firefighters’ actions consisted of securing the scene and ensuring road safety while the road service cleared away the glass.
Fortunately, no one was injured. Police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident.
