Another successful operation by criminal investigators. As a result of very good reconnaissance of the area and effective operational work, officers established where both stolen cars were parked. – The first vehicle, a Ford Mondeo, was stolen in Świeradów-Zdrój to the detriment of a Czech citizen. Officers recovered it in Lubań – explains junior inspector Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, press officer for the Lubań KPP. (The car was parked by a Dino store).
She adds: – The vehicle contained registration plates and items that may have come from a theft. The second vehicle, an Audi A3, was found on the grounds of a property in Zgorzelec County.
Two men were arrested: an 18-year-old with no permanent place of residence and a 37-year-old resident of a neighboring county. The spokesperson: – The younger man was charged with burglary, for which he faces up to 10 years in prison. The other person arrested was charged with handling stolen goods, for which he faces up to 5 years in prison.
