Police officers from the station in Kruszyn detained a 30-year-old man suspected of committing another theft. Police: – The resident of Gromadka municipality had previously been convicted of property-related crimes.
The latest detention concerned the theft of parts from a cellular network transmitter. The thief took transmitting antennas and fiber-optic cable.
The losses were estimated at more than PLN 8,000. Police: – The 30-year-old planned to make money by obtaining valuable raw materials from the stolen property.
Under cover of night, the offender stole the dismantled components. He moved them to the vicinity of a garage that he used. He was detained there.
Officers conclude: – The suspect was acting as a repeat offender; therefore, he faces an increased sentence of up to 7.5 years in prison.
