Passport Office in Bolesławiec at Risk? Voivode Issues Statement

Statement by the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office

With regard to information appearing in the public sphere about the uncertain future of the local passport office in Bolesławiec, the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office informs that it does not plan to terminate the agreement and, in accordance with its provisions, has secured funds to maintain the office in 2026 for the tasks provided for in the agreement.

It adds:

The purpose of operating local passport offices is to ensure universal and equal access to passport services for citizens. The office in Bolesławiec was opened at the request of the city’s mayor, and the principles and purpose of its operation have not changed during the implementation of the agreement. The Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office is fulfilling all obligations arising from the agreement and remains open to further cooperation within the framework of the arrangements adopted.
