Officers determined that the plate had been torn off a car parked nearby just moments earlier.
Spokeswoman: – The man’s behavior immediately aroused the officers’ suspicions. He was agitated, speaking incoherently, and there was reasonable suspicion that he was under the influence of drugs.
The man became aggressive and resisted, but was arrested by the officers a short time later.
Due to his condition, an emergency medical team was called. The 33-year-old was transported to hospital.
The owner of the vehicle from which the registration plate had been torn off was informed that she needed to report the crime.
