On 21 September, an incident occurred at the bicycle crossing in Mojesz. – According to the officers’ preliminary findings, a 42-year-old resident of Gorzów County, driving a Škoda vehicle, failed to exercise due care and hit a 59-year-old resident of Lwówek County who was crossing at the marked bicycle crossing – reports junior aspirant Olga Łukaszewicz of the Lwówek KPP.
The police and an ambulance were called to the scene. The cyclist was transported to hospital. Examinations showed that the woman had not suffered any serious injuries.
Police officers are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident. At the same time, they are appealing to both drivers and cyclists to exercise caution on the road: – Autumn weather, earlier nightfall and frequently deteriorating weather conditions can significantly affect the safety of road users.
