Residents of Gabriela Narutowicza Street and the surrounding area complained about the presence of a person who might have been breaking the law, while wealthier residents invested in cameras to protect their homes. When the fire brigade was called because of a leaking gas cylinder, no one expected that the firefighters’ intervention would also lead to police action.
– During Sunday’s intervention, a 42-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was detained. He was carrying narcotic substances and was wanted to serve a substitute custodial sentence for a traffic offence – spokesperson Anna Kublik-Rościszewska reported. – Moreover, the man is suspected of endangering residents by opening a gas cartridge near a cylinder containing residual gas.
After the 42-year-old was detained, residents breathed a sigh of relief, but they do not intend to give up their cameras and surveillance. They still do not feel completely safe.
