The incident occurred on September 6, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., in the Świętoszów Forest District. As reported by the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Wrocław:

A forest guard, wearing full uniform with insignia and holding a vehicle-stopping baton, attempted to stop a group of people traveling on a dirt bike and a buggy—according to procedure and for the safety of everyone visiting the forest.

Foresters: – Unfortunately, on a straight road where the guard was clearly signaling to stop, one of the motorcyclists hit the officer.

The guard sustained serious injuries—a broken arm and cuts to his head and arm. Fortunately, he was protected by a bulletproof vest, which probably saved him from even more serious consequences. The fire service, police and ambulance were called to the scene.

The Directorate:

Worse still, the person responsible for the accident did not have a license to operate the vehicle, and his motorcycle was unregistered and uninsured. A police investigation is currently underway.

And adds:

This is not only about damaging the forest undergrowth or roads!

Above all, it is a matter of safety—for forest workers as well as ordinary people walking in the forest.

Imagine what could have happened if that speeding dirt bike had come around the bend straight toward a family with children walking in the forest… It could have ended in a tragedy that no one even wants to imagine.

It also concludes:

We appeal for common sense and compliance with the rules! Riding dirt bikes in the forest is not a game and is not permitted in public places. Anyone who disregards the rules puts their own life and the lives of others at risk.

Let’s take care of safety—ours and that of others!
