During the celebrations of Constitution Day on May 3 at Castle Square in Warsaw, the 23rd Silesian Artillery Brigade was honored with the flag of the Republic of Poland. Colonel Jarosław Kraszewski, commander of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Brigade, received it from Bronisław Komorowski. The President of the Republic of Poland was accompanied by: Minister of National Defence Bogdan Klich and the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, General Mieczysław Cieniuch.

“This honor is a reason to be proud. It is proof that artillery service, performed both at home and abroad, is appreciated,” Colonel Kraszewski said during a formation held on Wednesday, May 4, at the Bolesławiec garrison. “It is an expression of recognition for the effort and dedication, as well as for the professionalism and attitude demonstrated in daily service. Thanks to your work, the Brigade has joined, for the first time, the group of units that can boast such a distinguished honor.

The flag will be displayed in the Hall of Tradition of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Brigade.
