During an inspection of a truck unit leaving a parking lot in Godzieszów, a patrol of the Road Transport Inspectorate discovered that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Our command:
A police officer from the Bolesławiec traffic unit who was dispatched to the scene checked the sobriety of the 55-year-old Lithuanian national. The test showed that the man had 0.8 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The foreign national was detained and, after sobering up, brought by officers from Nowogrodziec to the District Court in Bolesławiec. A verdict was issued there under expedited proceedings.
The Bolesławiec unit sums up: – The foreign national received a three-year driving ban, a fine, and was ordered to pay a monetary contribution of 5,000 Polish zlotys to the Fund for Assistance to Victims and Post-Penitentiary Assistance.
