Statement from the District Police Headquarters:
Yesterday in Bolesławiec, a road collision occurred. The driver of an Audi failed to give way to the driver of a Škoda.
Police officers established that the offender was a 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec who is subject to driving bans.
By getting behind the wheel, the man disregarded two court rulings, as one driving ban was issued by the District Court in Bolesławiec and the other was imposed by the District Court in Lwówek Śląski.
The 35-year-old faces up to 5 years in prison for violating a court-imposed driving ban.

As established by Bolesławiec police officers, the offender was the 35-year-old Audi driver, a resident of Bolesławiec, who has two court-imposed driving bans. (Issued by the courts in Bolesławiec and Lwówek.)
Fortunately, no one suffered anything more serious as a result of the incident. It was classified as a collision.
Violating a court-imposed driving ban carries a sentence of up to 5 years in prison.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 3, in the afternoon, at the intersection of Leśna and Jeleniogórska streets in Bolesławiec. Two vehicles collided there: an Audi and a Škoda delivery van.
Preliminary findings by Bolesławiec police officers indicate that the Audi driver failed to give way to the aforementioned Škoda
One person was injured and taken to hospital for examinations. It is not yet known how serious the injuries were.
Police are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident. The officers are appealing for caution and good judgment on the road.
