Police officers from the Bolesławiec traffic police stopped another speeding driver on the A4. The officers:
Every day, road accidents occur on our roads in which someone is injured or dies as a result of their injuries. Almost every day, we report that speeding on the road is one of the greatest dangers for drivers and other road users. Despite this, police officers still encounter drivers who treat public roads like a racetrack, testing the “capabilities” of their vehicles.
– This time, officers from Bolesławiec, patrolling the A4 motorway towards the border, stopped a driver who, ignoring the speed limits, was speeding along the motorway at 245 kilometres per hour – reports Senior Constable Aleksandra Pieprzycka from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
A 48-year-old man from Dzierżoniów County was sitting behind the wheel of a sports passenger car. The driver had a long journey ahead of him, as he was travelling to France. After checking the documents, it turned out that the vehicle was a sports version with a very powerful engine. Nevertheless, every driver has the same responsibilities on the road and is required to comply with speed limits.
The 48-year-old was fined 2,500 zlotys and received 15 penalty points.
Police: – We appeal to drivers to use common sense and comply with road traffic regulations. Driving safely and in accordance with the regulations is not only a legal obligation, but above all a concern for the lives and health of oneself and other road users.
