The Patron’s Day celebrations at I Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec took place on Friday, April 15. They opened with the performance “Broniewski and Friends,” presented by the school’s theater club. At the same time, the reading room hosted a presentation of the students’ literary work. Meanwhile, at 10:00, a recitation contest began, in which, besides students of I LO, students of II LO in Bolesławiec also took part.
The jury (comprising: Katarzyna Jewtuch, Marek Łętowski and Sławomir Ratajski) awarded first prize in the recitation category to Natalii Pokropywnej from class I c. Second place went to Paulina Sudół from I b. In the sung poetry category, Agnieszka Paszkiewicz from II c won, while an honorable mention went to Ewie Serkies from II LO. Honorable mentions for recitation were received by: Paula Malona from II b, Daria Kłosowska from I a and Mateusz Suszek from II c.
Everyone gathered in the school auditorium also had the opportunity to see a poetry-and-music program performed by class I b. The ceremony concluded with a presentation of multimedia presentations and films devoted to the life and work of Władysław Broniewski, created by I LO students.
The Polish-language teachers’ team was responsible for the program and the course of the ceremony: Irmina Nowak, Maria Idzik, Małgorzata Zielińska and Zuzanna Mróz.
