Bolesławiec traffic police stopped a 41-year-old man riding a bicycle while intoxicated in one of the localities in the Nowogrodziec municipality. The test showed that he had more than 0.5 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
That same day, officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec stopped another intoxicated cyclist. A breathalyzer test showed that the man, also a resident of the Nowogrodziec municipality, had nearly 2 per mille of alcohol.
The police remind the public: “Riding a bicycle on a public road while intoxicated is punishable under the Code of Petty Offenses by a fine of up to PLN 2,500.
Intoxicated cyclists seem to have become a plague. Let us recall that we only recently reported that three drunk cyclists were caught in a single weekend. The record holder: nearly 2.5 per mille.
