Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn were notified by a resident of Bolesławiec commune about the theft of her passenger vehicle, tablet and mobile phone. Bolesławiec Police Headquarters: – Later that same day, as a result of the actions taken and a series of findings, officers located the place where the victim’s vehicle and the perpetrator were located.
During a search of the car’s interior, they also recovered the woman’s tablet.
The perpetrator was arrested and taken to the Police Station in Kruszyn, where further activities involving him were carried out.
Further police activities led to the recovery of the mobile phone, worth PLN 1,500, already the following day.
The perpetrator was charged with an offence involving taking a vehicle for the purpose of its short-term use and misappropriating entrusted movable property.
Thanks to the intensive work of officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn, the victim recovered her lost property within less than two days of filing the report.
The Criminal Code provides for a prison sentence of up to five years both for misappropriating entrusted property and for the short-term use of a vehicle.
