- Avoid excessive sun exposure and sunbathing.
- Use sunscreen.
- Do not leave children, animals or flammable materials in the car.

- Drink plenty of fluids regularly.
- Avoid drinks containing alcohol and sugar.
- Eat light meals, paying particular attention to the freshness of the ingredients.

- Avoid large temperature differences between air-conditioned rooms and cars and the outdoor temperature.
- Close and cover windows during the day.
- Stay in the coolest room in the house, especially at night.
- Look after animals. Do not expose them to excessive sunlight; provide them with unlimited access to drinking water and ventilate the rooms where they stay.
