At the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, an awards ceremony was held for the winners of competitions promoting the police profession. The competition entries were prepared by students of Bolesławiec’s Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych.

Almost 300 competition entries were submitted to the Bolesławiec police unit. The photography competition entitled “Police in the Lens” was supervised technically by vocational teacher Arkadiusz Majewski, who worked with the students on miniature photo sets prepared on the premises of the headquarters. The students had the opportunity to learn more about the police profession, particularly the work of forensic technicians and service-dog handlers, the activities of the operational group, and firearms training.

The cooperation resulted in beautiful photographs; 234 entries were submitted for the competition.

The second competition, “One, two, three, become a police officer,” was addressed to students interested in working with multimedia. The headquarters said: – The young people were tasked with preparing a poster promoting recruitment to the Police, based on photographs intended to interest their peers. Under the supervision of teacher Grzegorz Matoryn, the students prepared 60 designs.

Those attending the awards ceremony included: Sub-Inspector Tomasz Jagielski, District Police Commander in Bolesławiec; Tomasz Gabrysiak, Bolesławiec County Head; Katarzyna Zięba, Head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport; Jolanta Kus, director of Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych in Bolesławiec; and vocational teachers.

During the ceremony, a student of Zespół Szkół Budowlanych in Bolesławiec, Artur Taraska, was also recognized. Outside the competition, he took several dozen photographs of Bolesławiec police officers with great dedication. The unit said: – The student demonstrated passion and availability.
