Vandals are not leaving the devil alone. It is part of an artistic installation located at the foot of the stairs leading to the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Giebułtów. The statue was first splashed with paint in February last year.

Another act of vandalism involving the aforementioned devil took place just before this year's Easter. As the lwowecki.info website points out:

It was splashed with the same color of paint as before. Some people pointed out that it was a gesture of protest. Others said it was simply an act of vandalism.

The perpetrator of this year's act of vandalism turned out to be a 53-year-old resident of Lwówek County. The man admitted his guilt. He will face charges for an offense.

Whether this is the last such incident remains to be seen.

The local Lwówek outlet about the installation:

In May 2023, a provocative artistic installation titled “Temptation” was unveiled at the foot of the stairs leading to the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Giebułtów. Its first element was a statue of the devil: a rusty steel figure with a long beard that continued into a rope serving as a handrail. According to the initiators, the statue was intended to symbolize the passage of time. The sculpture was created by Grzegorz “Siwy” Pawłowski from Szklarska Poręba.
