We received the following information from someone who introduced himself as a “concerned resident”:
(…) from Saturday to Sunday (…) on Kilińskiego and Starzyńskiego streets there was an operation to cut catalytic converters out of cars. The police were notified; when they arrived, the thieves had disappeared, but on Sunday morning it was possible to see 2 cars standing on bricks without catalytic converters.
The person who reported it added: – I don’t know whether there were more cars; perhaps it is worth asking at the police station, and above all warn people so that they are more vigilant.
We asked the Bolesławiec police about the matter. As it turned out, that night the officers received one report concerning the suspected theft of a catalytic converter. However, the vehicle showed no signs of tampering. (But it was supposedly raised on a paving stone).
