The incident took place during the night of May 24–25 in Gierałtów. Around midnight, emergency services were dispatched to an incident involving a BMW. (The car was lying on its side.)
It turned out that the vehicle's driver, a 21-year-old resident of the Nowogrodziec municipality, had failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions.
Four people were traveling in the car: the driver and three passengers aged 17–22. Fortunately, no one suffered any more serious injuries. The young man was fined PLN 2,500.
The officers are appealing for caution and prudence on the road.
