From Friday to Monday, officers of the Bolesławiec Police unit carried out 183 interventions, checked the identities of more than 400 people and inspected nearly 200 vehicles. Ten collisions were recorded on the county’s roads. Seven wanted people were arrested, including two outside our county.
Bolesławiec Police:
A woman and a man who had committed a series of crimes in Bolesławiec County and had prison sentences to serve, knowing that the police were closing in on them, decided to hide in Trzebnica County. Their plan failed because, as soon as criminal investigators determined where they were staying, they took action together with officers from the provincial headquarters and arrested the wanted individuals.
The 49-year-old woman, convicted of drug trafficking and repeatedly violating a court-ordered driving ban, was taken to prison for nearly 4.5 years. Her partner, a 39-year-old from Jelenia Góra, has more than two years in prison to serve for theft.
Officers from the police station in Kruszyn also arrested wanted individuals, including a 30-year-old from Nowogrodziec, who has eight months in prison to serve for property-related crimes, and a 40-year-old resident of Bolesławiec Municipality, who was sentenced to four months in prison for driving despite a court ban.
A 39-year-old man from Nowogrodziec Municipality was also apprehended. Police said: “The man was not only wanted to serve a 10-month sentence for burglaries, but also had two types of narcotics at his place of residence.
During the holiday period, two cyclists were also caught riding under the influence of alcohol, as was a driver with a blood alcohol level of 3 per mille who was subject to a court ban, as well as a man from Lubań County who was driving despite a ban. Moreover, during domestic interventions, two men were also arrested after threatening people they knew while intoxicated.
