District police officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn, while patrolling the Gromadka municipality, took action to check a motorcyclist who was travelling at high speed. Police spokesperson: – When the woman saw the police car, she accelerated and – despite the light and sound signals – tried to avoid being checked.

On a bend in the road, she lost control of the vehicle and continued fleeing on foot… wearing a helmet on her head.

Officers: – After jumping over a fence and continuing her escape, she nevertheless decided to remove the “weight” from her head and show the officers her face from a distance.

Based on the registration plates, the police traced the former owner of the two-wheeler, who told them who had purchased the vehicle. The officers’ suspicions regarding the fugitive’s identity proved correct. The 22-year-old was detained. She admitted that she had been the person fleeing from the patrol.

Police spokesperson:

Her desire to avoid the traffic check stemmed from the fact that a court-imposed ban on driving motor vehicles, which she received for offences involving driving without a licence, remains in force for another month.

The woman now faces up to five years in prison.
