Police officers from the Nowogrodziec Police Station intervened following a report of domestic violence. – When they arrived, it turned out that the perpetrator had fled – reports junior inspector Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters. – The officers quickly tracked down the 33-year-old, who had hidden on the site of an old mine in a neighboring county.

The suspect is a repeat offender who has already been sentenced to imprisonment for attacking his mother.

The man was again charged with physically and psychologically abusing his mother. The spokesperson said: – Over the past seven months, he started brawls while under the influence of alcohol and various substances. During his outbursts of aggression, he damaged household furnishings and humiliated and grabbed the victim.

The police officers, prosecutor and judge all had no doubt that the aggressor had to be isolated. The resident of Nowogrodziec Municipality was remanded in custody for two months. As he is a repeat offender, he now faces up to 7.5 years in prison.
