On 21 March, training entitled “Safe Lower Silesia” was held on the premises of the Bolesławiec military unit. The Bolesławiec County was a co-organiser.
The event was intended for students of uniformed-class programmes and covered, among other things, the principles of safe weapon handling, a shooting tournament, conduct in crisis situations, familiarisation with alarm signals, the contents of an evacuation backpack, and safe recreation in the mountains and on the water.
A total of 284 students from 12 schools offering uniformed-class programmes took part in the training. The sessions were conducted by members of the Association of Former Soldiers of the 62nd Special Commando Company—the main organiser—as well as instructors from the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, a Sapper Patrol, GOPR instructors, WOPR instructors and the Security and Crisis Management Department of the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
The “Safe Lower Silesia” training concluded with the presentation of awards by Bolesławiec County Starosta Tomasz Gabrysiak together with County Board Member Alina Zarembecka.
Participants left the Bolesławiec unit with new knowledge, practical skills and motivation to continue developing towards uniformed services.
