The issue of the pavement by Dino was raised during a session of the Bolesławiec City Council. Councillor Urszula Magryś asked about the investment.
Bolesławiec Deputy Mayor Robert Rzepnicki said that the City is planning to build the pavement. And that he hopes this will happen this year.
More details were provided by Urszula Bober, head of the Public Procurement and Municipal Investments Department at Bolesławiec City Hall.
She said that the City has already signed an agreement to prepare the technical and design documentation. The design is being consulted with the County Office.
The department head stressed that the City wants to complete the investment this year:
We will do everything to ensure that this task is not only designed but also completed this year.
Difficult terrain and a military plot
It turns out that designing a pavement in this location is not easy. One of the main problems is the considerable slope of the terrain. An additional limitation is the plot belonging to the military unit located next to it. Municipal officials “absolutely cannot enter” this property.
At the same time, the City wants the new pedestrian route to be as convenient as possible for various users – including people with disabilities and parents with prams.
This is already the third concept
The designer has already presented the third version of the solution. As U. Bober explained, the previous concepts included, among other things, stairs, which the authorities of the City of Ceramics were not satisfied with.
This may be the final concept. Deputy Mayor R. Rzepnicki explained that, given the steepness of the terrain, the designers want to use longer landings instead of successive short flights of stairs.
He added:
We have such a pavement by the nursery school on Narcyzów Street. And it has worked very well.
The City had previously announced the investment
We wrote about plans to build a pavement by Dino and the nearby clinics as early as May. At that time, the municipal authorities said that the investment was to be carried out in cooperation between the city and Bolesławiec County.
The investment was presented as a response to residents’ reports concerning pedestrian safety in the area of the store and clinics.
Now there is another concrete development: the documentation is under way, the designer has already prepared a third concept, and the city authorities say they want to complete the pavement in 2026.
It therefore remains to wait for the final design and the next stages of the investment.
We will return to the subject.
