On the roads of Bolesławiec County, officers inspected 45 delivery vehicles, and in 21 cases registration certificates were seized due to poor technical condition. Bolesławiec police: – Officers found that vehicles had set out without a valid technical inspection, functioning lights or adequately maintained tires, while drivers forgot to fasten their seat belts and comply with traffic lights.
Officers:
We appeal to drivers, especially those professionally involved in transport, to exercise caution and responsibility on the road. Let us remember that professional drivers are expected to exercise particular care and comply with regulations, because their behavior has a direct impact on the safety of all road users.
They add:
The aim of yesterday’s operation conducted by police officers throughout the Lower Silesian Voivodeship was to improve road safety by enforcing regulations, preventing accidents and limiting dangerous behavior among couriers. The operation also sought to make people providing courier services aware of the consequences of breaking the law, both legal consequences and those related to the safety of themselves and others.
The operation was undoubtedly a result of the widely reported case from Bolesławiec, which we wrote about, among other places, in the article An Orlen courier fired a GUN at another driver in the city center.
