The young driver, showing no regard for his own safety or that of other road users, decided to use a roundabout as a venue for illegal stunts. His behaviour did not escape the attention of traffic police officers who were patrolling the area around Gryfów Śląski in an unmarked police car.

At the wheel was a 25-year-old resident of Lwówek County. He was fined heavily and given 15 penalty points for dangerous behaviour on the road. However, that was not the end of his problems—the officers suspected that the man might be under the influence of drugs. A drug test confirmed their suspicions.

The result? The driver's licence was confiscated, and the case will go to court. The officers said: – We remind you that driving under the influence of drugs is a crime and carries severe consequences, including a hefty fine, a driving ban and even a prison sentence of up to three years.

Police appeal to all drivers to exercise common sense on the road:

Reckless bravado, irresponsible behaviour and driving under the influence of intoxicating substances can lead to tragic consequences. Traffic officers continuously patrol the streets to remove from the roads those who pose a danger to themselves and others.
