On Monday, the Bolesławiec traffic police, as part of the provincial “Sobriety” operation, carried out intensive checks on the roads of the county. The police: – Officers checked the sobriety of 863 drivers, with positive results in two cases.
Just after 7:00 a.m., a police patrol stopped a driver from Złotoryja County for inspection. It turned out that the 58-year-old had been driving a vehicle after consuming alcohol and will therefore face charges for a misdemeanour.
Several minutes later, officers checked a female driver’s sobriety; the test showed more than half a per mille of alcohol in her system. The officers: – A resident of Legnica County will face charges for driving while intoxicated, an offence punishable by up to 3 years in prison.
Both individuals lost their driving licences.
