– Officers from the Bolesławiec unit, after receiving a report about a young man who had repeatedly threatened the victim, took steps to identify the perpetrator and establish the circumstances of his actions – reports junior inspector Anna Kublik-Rościszewska from the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters. – Thanks to the officers’ work, it was possible to identify a Bolesławiec resident and establish that two men were the targets of the threats.
The 24-year-old was arrested.
Further actions, secured surveillance footage and witness statements confirmed that, from 10 December 2024 to 16 January this year, the arrested man made criminal threats, hit and spat on one of the victims, and in mid-January threatened the second man, this time holding a hammer in his hand. The spokesperson said: – At the suspect’s place of residence, officers secured the tool he used during one of the crimes. The perpetrator’s actions were directed against one of the people because of their nationality.
The evidence collected by Bolesławiec police clearly indicated the need to isolate the aggressor. The court granted the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec, and the 24-year-old was remanded in custody for three months. He faces up to five years in prison.
