The driver of a Ford Mustang ignored a stop sign, which was noticed by officers from Polkowice. They intervened. – The 36-year-old was irritated by the police officers’ actions from the very beginning of the inspection. The man stated that the officers had nothing better to do and were simply picking on him – reports Sub-Inspector Przemysław Rybikowski, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Polkowice. – He also decided to record the course of the intervention.
He adds: – There would have been nothing wrong with that if not for the circumstances and the later consequences. The driver was informed that distributing images of uniformed officers was prohibited, but not only did he ignore the warning, he also gave the officers a reason to meet with him again.
The Polkowice resident posted on his social media profiles a photo showing the officers who had intervened, and added a vulgar comment insulting the uniformed personnel.
– The consequences of the publication eventually reached the Polkowice police officers, who knocked on the 36-year-old’s door – the spokesperson concludes. – The Polkowice resident was taken in handcuffs to the District Police Headquarters in Polkowice, where he was charged with insulting police officers—a crime for which he could be sentenced to up to 12 months in prison.
