The incident occurred on Saturday, after 7:00 a.m. Police officers stopped a passenger car for inspection. They suspected that its driver was subject to a court-imposed driving ban. – A check of police databases confirmed that the 34-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality committed an offence by getting behind the wheel – says asp. szt. She adds:
In June 2023, the District Court in Zielona Góra imposed a three-year driving ban on the driver. Meanwhile, in August 2024, the Bolesławiec court banned the 34-year-old from driving a car for two years. In addition, the resident of Bolesławiec municipality has a decision revoking his driving entitlements.
The 34-year-old now faces up to 5 years in prison.
