The incident occurred on Saturday, January 11, on one of the streets in Lwówek Śląski. The local KPP: – A 33-year-old Opel passenger-car driver, while driving in difficult winter conditions, mounted the curb while passing an oncoming police car. As a result of this maneuver, he lost control of the vehicle and scraped the side of the police car.
Additional officers arrived at the scene and immediately began carrying out explanatory procedures. The police station: – It quickly turned out that the driver had a serious reason not to feel confident behind the wheel – a breathalyzer test showed nearly 0.9 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air.
The 33-year-old from Lwówek County will now answer for his actions before a court. He faces up to three years in prison, a heavy fine and a driving ban.
