On December 30, police officers detained a 22-year-old man suspected of possessing significant quantities of narcotic substances. – The resident of Jelenia Góra called the emergency number and requested intervention over an altercation taking place between two men – explains Assistant Commissioner Beata Sosulska-Baran of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. – As it turned out, during a drinking session, the men argued over what is known as a shot of vodka.
When one of them saw the approaching patrol car, he hurriedly hid a bag in the trunk. During the inspection, he behaved nervously and tried to dissuade the officers from opening the trunk. The spokeswoman said: – The police officers detected a distinct smell of marijuana. It turned out that the troublemaker had a significant quantity of the drug—approximately 270 saleable portions.

The police are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail, checking the source of the secured narcotic substances and whether the man was involved in their distribution.
The resident of Karkonosze County was detained in police custody. He could now face up to 10 years in prison for the crime committed.
