The first of the macabre incidents occurred on Thursday afternoon in Lwówek Śląski. A man was lying in the Srebrna stream. Firefighters, police officers and a medical rescue team were at the scene. Firefighters pulled the man from the water. A doctor pronounced him dead.

At the scene, activities were carried out by a police investigative team together with a forensic technician.

Since the tragedy occurred in a public place, a prosecutor also arrived and ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death, which should help establish the circumstances of the incident.

On Monday, December 23, a resident of Pławna Górna notified the emergency services about a man lying in a roadside ditch. Police and a medical rescue team were dispatched to the scene. Unfortunately, in this case too, a doctor pronounced the man dead. The deceased was a 62-year-old resident of Lwówek County.
