The body was found on Sunday morning on the grounds of Zapora Złotnicka on the Kwisa River, in the area of Złotniki Lubańskie, between Gryfów Śląski and Leśna.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. Preliminary findings indicate that the man most likely fell from the dam onto its dry side from a height of several dozen metres.
The rescuers who reached the scene did not attempt resuscitation. The man showed visible signs of death. The death was confirmed by a doctor.
Police officers are investigating the exact circumstances of the tragedy and the course of events.
