At the beginning of the week, officers from the Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters, in cooperation with patrols from Lwówek, Lubań and Zgorzelec counties, carried out an operation called “Safe on the A4 motorway”.
Police officers from Zgorzelec stopped a 51-year-old driver for a check. A search of police databases confirmed that the resident of Pomeranian Voivodeship was wanted to serve a prison sentence. However, after paying the PLN 28,000 fine imposed by the court, the man continued on his journey.
The police operation aimed to improve safety, particularly by reducing the number of road incidents caused by drivers exceeding the permitted speed limit. It is worth emphasizing that the operation produced the intended result, as no serious road incidents were recorded during its course.
