On Monday, January 31, Bolesławiec police officers conducted the “Van” operation. In recent years, the number of private carriers, as well as the number of accidents involving buses and trucks, has risen sharply. The recurring “Van” operation is intended to improve the safety of passengers and other road users.
Officers inspected 87 vehicles. They seized 44 registration certificates (mainly because of the vehicles’ poor technical condition) and issued 47 fines. What is more, two drunk drivers were apprehended by the officers.
