– As an experienced manager, the Bolesławiec resident was responsible for contacting clients, ordering production materials and managing the delivery of packaging to customers – explains Senior Constable Aleksandra Pieprzycka of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
She adds: – At a certain point during the cooperation, the suspect informed some clients that, due to financial difficulties, invoices would now be issued by another company, but other elements, such as the company’s headquarters, the quality of the goods and the way orders were fulfilled, would not change. The “new” company was listed in the National Court Register, which made the 35-year-old’s version appear credible.
Initial findings indicated that the perpetrator had been robbing his employer for two years. The spokesperson says: – However, a series of actions carried out by officers from Bolesławiec led to the collection of evidence confirming the perpetrator’s criminal activity for four years.
Invoices issued by the company registered to the 35-year-old were for various amounts – from PLN 128 to nearly PLN 23,000.
Investigators summarize:
Between November 2020 and July 2024, the suspect unlawfully sold goods that did not belong to him more than 100 times. In total, the man appropriated nearly PLN 340,000. Police seized the detained man’s vehicle as security for potential future penalties.
The Bolesławiec resident faces up to 10 years in prison.
