The incident occurred at the beginning of November. Walkers in the municipality of Leśna came across the carcass of an animal. As reported by lwowecki.info:
In their view, it was clearly a wolf, with two wounds that appeared to be gunshot wounds. The carcass was located just 100 metres from a hunting stand, which further convinced them that the wolf had been shot.
The police were notified about the matter. However, they have doubts as to whether it really was a wolf and whether it was shot. As asp. sztab. Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lubań, informed the Lwówek-based outlet, investigative work is underway. The animal’s body has been secured and an expert has been appointed.
