– Officers from the Bolesławiec traffic police – as part of cooperation with the Road Transport Inspection – detained a foreign national who was driving a lorry on the A4 motorway – reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.

The Georgian citizen did not have his driving licence with him and showed officers only a photograph of his driving entitlement on his phone. The spokeswoman:

A check of the 50-year-old in police systems quickly revealed why the driver did not have his driving licence with him. By a decision of the District Court in Mława, the man, temporarily staying in the Masovian Voivodeship, was subject to a court-imposed ban on driving all motor vehicles.

The ban is in force for six months – from September this year.

The outcome? Detained under an expedited procedure, he was brought by officers from the police station in Kruszyn before the Bolesławiec court. There, the Georgian national heard the verdict. He was fined and banned from driving for one year. In addition, he must pay PLN 5,000 to the Fund for Assistance to Victims and Post-Penitentiary Assistance.
