As established by Bolesławiec officers, a resident of Bolesławiec County, while driving a Mazda, failed to adjust her speed to the road conditions and hit a roadside tree on a bend. A 6-year-old child was taken to hospital.
The woman responsible is 29 years old. Police are conducting explanatory proceedings under Article 86 of the Code of Petty Offences:
Article 86. § 1. Anyone who, on a public road, in a residential zone or traffic zone, failing to exercise due care, causes a threat to road traffic safety,
shall be liable to a fine.
§ 1a. If the consequence of the petty offence referred to in § 1 is causing impairment of the function of a bodily organ or a health disorder in another person, the offender
shall be liable to a fine of no less than PLN 1,500.
§ 2. Anyone who commits the petty offence specified in § 1 while under the influence of alcohol or a similarly acting substance,
shall be liable to detention, restriction of liberty or a fine of no less than PLN 2,500.
§ 3. In the event of the petty offence specified in § 1 being committed by a person driving a vehicle, a driving ban may be imposed.

A passenger car hit a tree.
They added: – Using hydraulic tools, firefighters gained access to the injured person.
Two people, including a child, were injured. Police are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.
The road between Kruszyn and Kraśnik is blocked.
