– Police officers from the Criminal Unit of the Police Station in Pieńsk, as a result of operational work aimed at combating property crime, arrested a 21-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County – reports Superintendent Agnieszka Goguł, press officer for the District Police Commander in Zgorzelec.
She adds: – At the end of October, the man stole copper pipes and gutters from the parish house and church building in Czerwona Woda. He had already sold the stolen guttering, worth PLN 1,400, at a scrap-metal collection point.
The young man was charged and admitted his guilt. He now faces up to five years in prison.
