Bolesławiec police on the arrest:
On the night from Friday to Saturday, police officers from the Bolesławiec unit arrested a suspect in the theft of a bicycle in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality. The 30-year-old had in his car a bicycle worth PLN 3,000, which he had stolen from private property.
In addition, officers found various documents in the vehicle, including a woman's identity card, which the perpetrator had appropriated. The man already has the theft of another bicycle on his record.
In total, the resident of Bolesławiec was charged with five offences. He faces up to five years in prison.
Our Reader informed us that last week, a resident of the City of Ceramics was alleged to have stolen a bicycle in Warta Bolesławiecka. As it turned out, the 30-year-old man from Bolesławiec was arrested by police on the night from Friday to Saturday.
Officers found the aforementioned bicycle, worth PLN 3,000, in the man's car. The suspect also had other items originating from theft.
Police are investigating the case.
Theft is punishable by up to five years in prison, while burglary can result in a prison sentence of up to ten years.
