On 18 October, at around 1:50 p.m., the police duty officer received a report concerning an injured 71-year-old woman from Kostomłoty Municipality. Officers: – Officers from the Środa Śląska police headquarters were immediately dispatched to the scene. They determined that the woman had been stabbed twice – in the abdomen and chest – and that the attacker had fled in an unknown direction.
The woman was transported by the Polish Medical Air Rescue service to hospital.

Thanks to the immediate actions taken, Środa Śląska officers arrested the 29-year-old suspect in the stabbing after approximately two hours. The man was brought before the District Prosecutor’s Office in Środa Śląska, where he was charged with attempted murder, to which he confessed.
The young man, who was remanded in custody by the court for three months, could face life imprisonment.
