How much will we pay?
The fee for municipal waste management for a property will be PLN 35.00 for each person living at the property.
Why more expensive?
The need to increase the fee for municipal waste management per resident from October 1 results from the increase in the landfill fee, the rising cost of managing individual waste fractions, the increase in the minimum wage, and rising fuel and energy prices.
Who voted for the increase?
(Green means that the councillors voted in favor; black means that the person was not present at the session.)
What is the waste fee money used for?
The municipality covers the costs of operating the municipal waste management system from the fees collected, including the costs of:
- collection
- transport
- gathering
- recovery and disposal of municipal waste
- establishing and maintaining selective municipal waste collection points
- administrative operation of the system
- environmental education on the proper handling of municipal waste
The municipality also covers the costs of the following from the fees collected:
- equipping properties with containers for collecting municipal waste
- keeping containers in appropriate sanitary condition
- order and technical condition
- removing municipal waste from places not intended for its disposal and storage
- disposing of all types of municipal waste
- acceptance of waste by selective municipal waste collection points and ensuring the acceptance of such waste
