The reader contacted the istotne.pl editorial office and drew attention to an illegal dump located on green areas between Bolesławiec and Chościszowice. It is situated near the railway tracks, at the edge of a small forest.
There is a considerable amount of various types of waste at the site. It includes plastic bags, plastic containers, tyres, automotive parts and other rubbish.
According to the reader, the site where the waste has accumulated is located in the Municipality of Bolesławiec. We have sent a report about the matter to the municipality.
The reader also points to the problem of being able to legally dispose of certain types of waste. In his view, one reason illegal dumps may form is that PSZOKs do not accept some types of waste. Plastic components and parts from cars can be given as an example.
This does not, of course, mean that such waste may be dumped in a forest or by the road. Abandoning rubbish in random locations is illegal and harms the environment.
In this case, however, the amount of waste is so large that the site clearly needs to be cleaned up. We appeal to the relevant services to take an interest in the matter and clear the illegal dump.
