Over the past weekend, Bolesławiec traffic police officers once again had their hands full. – On Saturday morning, they stopped two drivers for a roadside inspection who most certainly should not have got behind the wheel – reports junior aspirant Bartłomiej Sobczyszyn from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.

The first of those stopped was drunk; a police device indicated nearly 0.6 per mille. The spokesperson: – The second man’s condition was only slightly better, as he was under the influence of alcohol. He had nearly 0.3 per mille of alcohol in his system.

On Sunday afternoon, officers caught a resident of Bolesławiec County who had 0.48 per mille in his exhaled breath.

We remind you that driving while intoxicated carries a sentence of up to 3 years in prison, loss of your driving licence and financial consequences, while operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol may result in detention or a fine of no less than PLN 2,500. Moreover, getting behind the wheel after drinking puts the lives of all road users at risk.
