The incident occurred on 6 August. – After 2:00 p.m., the duty officer at the County Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski received a report concerning a cyclist being hit by a vehicle – reports junior aspirant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the Lwówek Śląski County Police Headquarters.
She adds: – According to the police officers’ preliminary findings, a 46-year-old resident of Lwówek County, driving a Toyota, was travelling along provincial road no. 364 between Ubocze and Gradówek when, while passing an oncoming vehicle, he collided with a cyclist.
The cyclist, a 71-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, was taken to hospital. Police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident. Both the driver and the cyclist were sober.
