Update
According to the Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service, a fuel tank was burning at a scrap yard on Tysiąclecia Avenue in Bolesławiec. Firefighters said: – A second tank and a tanker were at risk.
They added: – No one was injured.
Uniformed personnel from the following units took part in the operation:
- JRG Bolesławiec – 6 units,
- OSP KSRG Warta Bolesławiecka,
- OSP KSRG Ocice
- KPP Bolesławiec (1 patrol).
The incident occurred on Wednesday, 7 August, between Bolesławiec and Kruszyn, near the grain elevators. An empty fuel tank caught fire.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. Firefighters are carrying out mopping-up operations.
Police will investigate the causes and circumstances of the incident.
