As reported by the National Police Headquarters:
With the aim of ensuring the safety of road users, on 1 July this year the Police will conduct nationwide inspection and prevention operations under the name “SPEED”, whose purpose is to enforce compliance with speed limits among vehicle drivers.
It adds:
Police officers will take measurements both statically and dynamically, with particular attention to places where road accidents caused by excessive speed occur most frequently.
And it further explains:
Police SPEED groups will participate in the operation. Their main task is to counter dangerous behaviour on the road, including exceeding the permitted speed.
